An officer was killed and another wounded while responding to a report of a man shooting rounds with a rifle and a wounded and unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk in a city east of Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.

At least two people were killed, including a police officer, in a shooting in Baldwin Park, California, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

One police officer was killed and another is in stable condition after a suspect opened fire in Baldwin Park on Saturday evening.
