Three MacBook Pro laptops will be launched before Halloween, but Apple has something hiding in the shadows you should pay attention to.

According to a packaging leak and leaked unboxing (yes, you read that right), the base model M4 MacBook Pro will have three Thunderbolt ports on all models. Previously, the base model of the M3 MacBook Pro lineup only had two Thunderbolt ports, with both of them being on the left side.

Apple plans to release MacBook Airs with M4 chips in early 2025, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. The company just refreshed the lineup with M3 chips this spring, but the M4 update will “likely” launch between January and March 2025,
