The number is answered by the Masonite Claims Administration Office, and a recorded message says the settlement covers Masonite Hardboard Siding installed between Jan. 1, 1980, and Jan. 15, 1998.
Homeowners with Masonite Hardboard Siding installed Jan. 1, 1990, through Jan. 15, 1998, have until January 2008 to file claims. Recent figures indicate more than 250,000 claims have been received.
