LeBron James scored 42 points Thursday night, becoming the second NBA player over 40 years old to score 40 points in a game.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James continues to defy his basketball age after putting up another impressive performance on Thursday night in a 120–112 home win over the Golden State Warriors. James joined Michael Jordan in becoming one of two players in NBA history to score 40 or more points in a game at age 40 or older,

Since returning 40 years old on Dec. 30, James has averaged a stellar 26.2 points. That said, scoring his age has so far eluded him. When Michael Jordan turned 40 while playing for the Washington Wizards on Feb. 17, 2003, he scored 43 just days later against the New Jersey Nets.
