If the clouds clear enough on Thursday night and very early Friday morning, look up at the right time and you’ll be treated to an unusual sight — a moon that has turned a deep blood red.

There's a micromoon coming up. The full moon will look slightly smaller and dimmer on Saturday night. But the change may be tricky to spot with the naked eye.

There have been some wacky weather swings in the D.C. region these past few weeks and the clouds will dominate until Sunday, which will likely prevent seeing the night sky and moon until then.
