The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released satellite images of the widespread damages caused by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar and rattled neighbouring countries on Friday.

Bengaluru: The Indian Space Research Organistaion (ISRO) on Monday evening released mages captured by its earth imaging and mapping satellite, CARTOSAT-3, showing the damages caused by a series of massive earthquakes that struck Myanmar on March 28.

A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, causing massive destruction, killing thousands, and prompting international rescue efforts, with ISRO’s satellite images revealing the full extent of the devastation.

As deaths mount, some volunteers complained of being blocked by Myanmar’s military from reaching a rebel stronghold that was badly hit.
