Microsoft is testing out new icons for its most popular apps. A recent survey inspired an artist to make a modernized Outlook logo in the app's clasic yellow.

The new icons are being rolled out to users over the next few weeks, so it's hard to say how a creator will decipher a partially monetized yellow icon from a completely demonetized yellow icon.

As rumored, the new icon is color-coded, lighting up green while your device is plugged in, yellow while actively in battery saver mode, and red after hitting 20 percent.

Currently, this new icon is already in use by the Google Search app for iOS as of an update yesterday.On Monday, the icon came to Android with Google app 16.18 (beta).

As far as I can tell, the new yellow Outlook icon is only a fan creation by Thunder_Ruler0. The survey sent out by Microsoft last month only showed a blue Outlook logo.
