Nintendo Switch firmware update 20.0.0 just went live giving players the ability to share games more easily with other console owners. Virtual Game Cards is the new catchall term for anything digital you can swap from one console to the next,

Players can “virtually load and eject virtual game cards” between two Switch consoles, meaning one console can have the game present at any time. However, players are now reporting that this new system prevents two users with their own Switch consoles from playing the same digital game online at the same time, something that was possible before.

Nintendo has pushed out a major system update for the Switch that enables its new Virtual Game Card ownership system for digital games, as well as several Switch 2 -related features, including GameShare. Using Virtual Game Cards, now you can easily swap digital games between multiple Switch consoles, as well as lend them to family members.
