Families and friends reunited with their soldiers during homecoming ceremonies on April 11 at the Illinois National Guard Armory in Rockford, and April 12 at Peoria Air National Guard Base.

Gen. Daniel R. McDonough, assistant adjutant general of the Illinois Air National Guard, was presented a two-star flag and a new insignia in a promotion ceremony at the Peoria Air National Guard base.
