IQALUIT, Nunavut - In early May, six residents of Iqaluit’s elders home were put on charter flights leaving the city after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

IQALUIT, Nunavut - An elders home in Iqaluit, Nunavut was evacuated on the weekend after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, with some residents being sent out of the territory.

The Nunavut government closed the Iqaluit Elders Home last May after two workers tested positive for COVID-19. There were six elders living there at the time. Four agreed to move to Embassy West.

The Iqaluit Elders' Home has been closed since last May after workers tested positive for COVID-19. Six clients were transferred to other facilities as a result.
