OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- The iconic pirate ship has returned to the Ocean City boardwalk. Back in 2021, the ship and the property at Playland's Castaway Cove were ravaged in a devastating fire.

The fiberglass ship atop the amusement park's rebuilt arcade replaces the wooden one that served as a landmark for decades.

On Wednesday, crews worked to return the landmark pirate ship to Playland's Castaway Cove on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
