Brave individuals looking to be "freezin' for a reason" will plunge into Big Bear Lake at noon on Saturday, March 29 to raise funds for Special Olympics Southern California.

The first Polar Bear Plunge for SONJ was held in Point Pleasant Beach in 1994, when 85 people raised a little over $22,000, said Jeremy Davis, a Special Olympics spokesman.
