The Prometheus is an experimental Prometheus-class prototype equipped with a multi-vector assault mode that enables the starship to decouple into three separate vessels.

However, the Prometheus-class took this concept to the next level. First introduced in the Voyager episode Message In A Bottle, the Prometheus-class has a feature called multi-vector assault mode.
