If this is Mohamed Salah’s final season at Liverpool, he is going out in style. The Egypt striker scored his 50th European goal for Liverpool and his 22nd in all competitions this season to help Arne Slot’s team secure a place in the Champions League round of 16 with a 2-1 win against Lille.

Rodrygo is perhaps not yet at Salah's level, but he's close and more importantly, he's almost a decade younger. Liverpool should see the 24-year-old winger as their number one option to replace Salah. With the Reds, Rodrygo could continue to blossom into his prime years and become a core piece for the foreseeable future.

Troy Deeney claimed on talkSPORT that after Salah headed straight down the tunnel after Liverpool’s win against Brentford, it seemed like an exit away from the Merseyside-based club could be on his mind. “Something’s up with that fella today.
