There are singers, then there are Idols. “American Idol” producers will be holding open-call virtual Zoom auditions for New Jersey singers on Friday, Aug. 12.

It's the first time the singing competition series will audition contestants in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., for a single season.

The auditions, open nationally, are titled “Idol Across America” and will be open to New York City singers Sunday, August 30. New Jersey auditions will be taking place that day, as well.
