The Canadian wildfire smoke that covered northwest Wisconsin July 24 has moved south and is causing air quality problems in most of the state.

An air quality alert will be in effect across all of Minnesota until at least 11 p.m. July 25, according to the state Pollution Control Agency.

People with lung disease (including asthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, may experience health effects.
