Amy Adams is set for a lead role in the "Cape Fear" TV series currently in the works at Apple TV+, Variety has learned.

Amy Adams and Javier Bardem will star in Cape Fear on Apple TV+, a 10-episode reimagining of John D. MacDonald’s The Executioners.

Earlier, we reported about Javier Bardem starring in a series adaptation of the thriller Cape Fear for Apple TV+, with Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg serving as producers. The latest development concerning the project from writer-showrunner Nick Antosca is that Amy Adams has joined Bardem in a lead role.

Amy Adams will portray Amanda Bowden, a dedicated attorney whose life takes a dark turn when Max Cady, played by Javier Bardem, re-enters her world seeking vengeance after his release from prison.
