Apple CEO Tim Cook has been on Nike's board for almost 20 years, and now he has to help guide the major sports brand through some stormy weather.

Cook told the Wall Street Journal that he set his mind as a child to attending Auburn University, where he "studied industrial engineering, watched football and learned to ask lots of questions."
