The introduction of Toadette’s human-form stirs up some deeper and darker implications of the Mario world. Specifically, a possible scandal and power grab in the Mushroom Kingdom.

As one fan theorist suggested, maybe Toadette is only born every century or so, and destined to eventually replace the existing Peach and become the Mushroom Kingdom’s new head of state.
