Nearly 400 people — most of whom were Vietnam veterans — gathered on the 50th anniversary of the end of U.S. involvement in Vietnam War.

Vietnam veterans gathered Friday at Utah’s Capitol Rotunda to celebrate 50 years since the end of the war, and to honor the men and women who served during a difficult time in our nation’s history. Many of the speakers and veterans shared stories of harrowing bravery, and then coming home to a country openly disrespectful of their service.

Vietnam era veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States were honored on March 28, at the 2025 Vietnam War Veterans’ Day ceremony. The ceremony took place at the Western Slope War Memorial Park.
