A developer is planning an $11.03 million development in Wheatfield, designed to provide more housing and commercial space in an area that's become a hub for senior living communities.

Agnes Denes first staged "Wheatfield – A Confrontation" in Lower Manhattan's Battery Park Landfill in in New York in 1982. It became a landmark in ecological art.
