Michigan basketball returns to AP Top-25 poll
Michigan is back in the AP Top-25 men’s basketball poll after beating one Los Angeles school. Staying there might require beating another. The Wolverines appeared at No. 24 in Monday’s poll. They are 11-3 after winning their only game since last week’s poll, Saturday’s 85-74 victory at USC.

Michigan State (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten) won both of its games last week to push its winning streak to seven games, downing Western Michigan, 80-62, at home to close out 2024 and Ohio State on Friday night in Columbus, 69-62. Michigan State is back home Thursday, facing Washington.
The Big Ten matched the Southeastern Conference with seven teams in the top 25, including four apiece in the top 10.
