Before she travels the world for her Lifetimes Tour, Katy Perry will check out the planet from above. On Thursday (March 27), Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin announced the date of the singer's ascent into the stars as part of the space exploration company's first all-women flight crew,

NS-31 will take off from Blue Origin's West Texas launch site on Monday, April 14 at 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT). As with past Blue Origin launches, you will be able watch the launch here at Space.com, courtesy of Blue Origin, once a livestream is made available.

Gayle King will step out of her comfort zone and into a space suit alongside Katy Perry, Lauren Sánchez, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen and Kerianne Flynn.
