By now, we've all heard the story lines surrounding Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman competing against his alma mater, Ohio State, for the national title down in Atlanta. Obviously, his focus is geared towards the team and getting them mentally and physically prepared for a 60 minute battle inside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Four different offensive players were mentioned by Marcus Freeman as he went over the injury report eight days ahead of the national championship game.

Freeman, 39, would fit the Bears’ need for a culture-changer. He has at least a cursory knowledge of the franchise, too. After playing linebacker at Ohio State, he was picked by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2009 draft but was cut before the start of the regular season.
