Houthi rebels in Yemen said Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeted the rebel-held capital of Sanaa and the port city of Hodeida, following several days of Houthi launches setting off sirens in Israel.

World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was about to board a plane at the Sanaa International Airport when it came under attack. A crew member on the plane was injured, he said.

The strikes were in response to previous Houthi missile and drone attacks on Israel, which have escalated in recent weeks.View on euronews
