Snow has fallen across large parts of the region, including Dartmoor, forcing some schools to close and road restrictions on the A38 motorway. A yellow weather warning was already in place for the South West but the Met Office has since upgraded this.

Another weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for North Wales, as the freezing temperatures continue. The latest 9 hour yellow alert starts at 3am tomorrow (Thursday) and lasts until midday, covering Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
