A taxicab hit six pedestrians in midtown Manhattan on Wednesday, police said, with three people — including a 9-year-old boy — transported to hospitals for their injuries.

Seven people were injured, including a child, when a taxi crashed into pedestrians on a sidewalk near Herald Square in New York City on Christmas Day. The accident happened next to the iconic Macy’s department store on the corner of West 34th Street and the Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan shortly after 4pm.

Police say a group of good Samaritans jumped in to help save six people struck by a taxi in New York City that suddenly veered onto a sidewalk near Macy's.
