A federal judge has temporarily blocked the public release of special counsel Jack Smith’s report on investigations into Donald Trump as an appeals court weighs a challenge to the disclosure of a much-anticipated document just days before the president-elect reclaims office.

Co-defendants in Donald Trump's since-dismissed classified documents case are calling on a federal judge to bar Special Counsel Jack Smith from releasing his so-called Final Report on his investigation.

The injunction lasts until three days after the 11th Circuit rules on a pending request to block the release of the report over a separate matter involving Trump's co-defendants.
