Minnesota Gov. Walz drew a stark contrast at a rally in Durham, North Carolina, between Trump at his Mar-a-Lago home telling his “rich as hell” friends he’d give them a tax cut with his own mother using her Social Security checks to feed herself and “get things done.”

The interview came a day after a strong Harris response to a transgender question during a Fox News interview, signaling that the ticket will not abandon transgender rights in response to ads.

The Kamala Harris for President campaign has opened a Tallahassee office, it says, "to bolster our grassroots efforts." The local office is at 1872 Mill St. on the city's south side. It's "part of a larger expansion that also includes new campaign offices in Miami-Dade, Escambia, Duval, and Collier counties," the campaign said in a news release.

While Walz did enact a curfew in Minneapolis, it was in response to protests over the killing of George Floyd, not because of the COVID-19 pandemic; nor did he order police to shoot paintball guns at residents to enforce the curfew.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is being mocked on X, formerly Twitter, after it posted a video of Democratic vice presidential hopeful Tim Walz with a shotgun on Tuesday. The video, accompanied by circus music, showed the Minnesota governor in a field with a gun, which the organization said he was attempting to load.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) will appear on ABC's The View and Comedy Central's The Daily Show on Monday, Oct. 21. The governor will join the hosts live in-studio to discuss the Democratic ticket's agenda in the final weeks of the presidential election.
