The Washington Wizards were reported to be active in trade discussions last week. It was reported that they were trying to trade a guaranteed salary in order to keep talented guard Jared Butler on the roster.

The Wizards want to keep Butler to keep their point guard rotation. But at also means letting someone else go, or they may have to waive a player on a guaranteed contract as well.

The Washington Wizards were hopeful to find a way to keep promising young guard Jared Butler on the roster for the 2024-25 NBA season. Reports earlier today came out that they were looking to find a trade for a guaranteed salary in order to keep Butler.

Davis is also on the third year of his rookie scale contract with a cap hit of $5.2 million. The Wizards (or whatever team he is on) has an option to keep him next season for $6.7
