King Charles and Prince William are leading the royal family’s commemorations of the victims of the Holocaust on Holocaust Memorial Day.

King Charles will become the first British head of state to visit Auschwitz when he tours the former Nazi concentration camp to mark the 80th anniversary of its liberation. The King will travel to Poland to join survivors and other dignitaries for a special service,

King Charles wiped away tears as he became the first British monarch to visit Auschwitz. Holocaust survivors are marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, and heads of state from all over Europe have gathered at the concentration camp in Poland to commemorate the historic event.

King Charles is in Poland today to mark the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz-Birkenau's liberation. The King will become the first British head of state to visit the former Nazi concentration camp, but he won't be the only European royal attending the grand ceremony today.
