Taking Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty in the 2025 NFL Draft has "far more risk" than some might realize, according to longtime draft analyst Tom Fornelli. Jeanty nearly passed Barry Sanders for the most single-season rushing yards in college football as a junior with the Broncos last season.

Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty saw the value of running backs tank as his college career started taking off.

Jeanty, the consensus No. 1 RB in this year's draft class, gave his list in an interview with CBS Sports. In order he picked Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Emmitt Smith and LaDainian Tomlinson as his top four. He rounded out his top five with Gore, who finished his career with 16,000 rushing yards − the third-most all-time.
