CBS News Senior Culture Correspondent Anthony Mason revealed the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2025 honorees this morning on CBS Mornings recognizing inductees The Doobie Brothers, George Clinton,

Legendary songwriter and producer Rodney Jerkins, a.k.a Darkchild, will be inducted into the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony takes place June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

George Clinton and Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins have been selected for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, which celebrates accomplished artists, producers, and writers for their musical contributions.

Mike Love, a co-founder and lead vocalist for the Beach Boys, is among this year’s fun, fun, fun honorees for the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Love’s induction, which comes exactly 25 years after his bandmate Brian Wilson was bestowed with the award,
