The Flyers hoped both Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost would become major pieces to their future. After all, Farabee had 20 goals in his second career season in a shortened campaign. Frost posted back-to-back 40+ point seasons before this year. These are players who can produce at a high level.

The Calgary Flames traded left wings Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night for center Morgan Frost and left wing Joel Farabee. Calgary also sent a second-round draft pick in 2025 and a seventh-round pick in 2028 to Philadelphia.
“ (Frost) is definitely one of my best buddies, and I think having him do this whole thing with me is going to be great,” Farabee said. “I think I can speak for him, too — we’re excited for a fresh start, just to get on the ice and prove what we can do.”
The 28-year-old Kuzmenko was scratched from Calgary’s lineup Thursday night and 23-year-old Pelletier was pulled after the first period of a 4-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
