The Iowa State men suffered their first loss of 2025 this past weekend, losing at West Virginia. Unable to get going on the offensive end, the Cyclones fell for the first time since a November defeat to top-ranked Auburn at the Maui Invitational.

Iowa State, which had its three-game winning streak come to an end, fell to 13-7 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 play. It was the first loss for the Cyclones since a Jan. 5 defeat to Utah. The Cyclones appeared to have turned the corner after that loss, picking up wins at Arizona State and Arizona and then beating Texas Tech at home earlier this week.

The Cyclones will head back on the road to face No. 20 West Virginia on Sunday, after a two-day break following their 71-58 dominating win against Texas Tech. In hopes of strengthening their three-game win streak,
