Juuse Saros allowed five goals in a loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. It continues an alarming trend for the Nashville Predators' goaltender.

The Anaheim Ducks scored three goals in the second period to beat the Nashville Predators 5-2 at Honda Center on Saturday.

Saros was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Nick Kieser of 102.5 ESPN Nashville reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease versus Minnesota on Saturday. Saros is coming off a 24-save performance in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over Chicago.

The Predators are likely to start Juuse Saros, who is looking for his 12th win of the season. The Sharks started former Predators prospect Yaroslav Askarov in net in Monday's 6-3 loss in Boston; they will likely will start Alexandar Georgiev on Tuesday.

The Nashville Predators beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-0 on Friday at Rogers Arena to end their three-game losing streak. Juuse Saros finished with 27 saves for his fourth shutout of the season.

Mason McTavish had two goals for the second straight game, Jansen Harkins and Trevor Zegras scored as the Ducks beat Predators 5-2, snapping Nashville’s five-game winning streak.

John Gibson made nine saves before leaving after the first period with an upper-body injury. Lukas Dostal replaced him and made 31 saves for Anaheim, which ended a four-game losing streak with a 5-1 win against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

In a contest that featured 11 goals, three Nashville power-play scores, three fights (in four seconds), an ejection and a blown three-goal lead, the Predators (18-22-7) finally managed to extend their winning streak to a season-high five games.

The goaltending matchup featured Nashville's Justus Annunen against San Jose's Yaroslav Askarov, the Predators' first-round draft pick in 2020 who requested a trade out of Nashville last August after the team signed Juuse Saros to an eight-year contract extension. Annunen made 30 saves on 35 shots, while Askarov made 32 saves on 38 shots.

The Sharks had a 5-1 lead with 16:32 left in the second period. Nashville then came all the way back and won the game for their fourth straight. Prior to tonight, Nashville had never come back to win a regular season game after being down four goals.
