Ba’Roc Willis, a 2027 recruit, has decommitted from Alabama football, he told 247Sports. “A love Bama Fam,” Willis wrote on social media Wednesday. “Please respect my decision.” Willis is from Moody and had been committed to the Crimson Tide since July.

As Alabama football turns its attention to the 2026 recruiting class, the Crimson Tide lost one of its three commitments in the 2027 class.

Alabama football’s coaching staff is making the state of Alabama a priority after Auburn and other college programs snagged some of the state’s best talent during the 2024 cycle.  Kalen DeBoer and several members of his Alabama staff were scattered around the state to kick off the January contact period.

Ty Haywood is reportedly not coming to Alabama after not joining the Crimson Tide during the early signing period.

Much of the college football world already knew about 2026 IMG Academy defensive lineman Preston Carey when Alabama extended its offer.
