Alessandro Nesta is back at Monza for a second stint as coach of Serie A's last-place club, just seven weeks after he was fired.

The 48-year-old former centre-back was sacked on December 23 after winning just one of his 17 league matches in charge.

Jorge Valdano has confirmed that they have set their sights solely on Lazio's 24-year-old stopper. "The only player that we are interested in is defender Alessandro Nesta," said Valdano.
