A new report says it may have almost all of the specs one could ask for, but there are good reasons to be skeptical.

While the imminent Apple launches won’t include the new MacBook Airs, today, Bloomberg reported that Apple is set to unveil the M4 MacBook Airs in early 2025. The outlet further reveals that the updated Mac Studio timeline has been pushed back to the second quarter of 2025.

According to a packaging leak and leaked unboxing (yes, you read that right), the base model M4 MacBook Pro will have three Thunderbolt ports on all models. Previously, the base model of the M3 MacBook Pro lineup only had two Thunderbolt ports, with both of them being on the left side.

According to knowledgeable sources, new MacBook Airs will be released after a December software update, most likely macOS 15.2 which is bringing a number of Apple Intelligence features to the Mac lineup. Again, this does suggest a release date some time between January and March 2025.
