Although the U.S. flag is at half-staff to mark the death of President Jimmy Carter, 8 Republican-led states will raise flags for Trump's inauguration

Governor Tate Reeves has directed all United States flags to be flown at full-staff at all Mississippi buildings from sunrise to sunset on Monday.This is in recognition of the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) ordered all flags at the Texas Capitol and other state buildings be raised to full-staff for President-elect Donald Trump ’s inauguration on Jan. 20.
