Curtis Jones will start at right-back in the Merseyside derby, Arne Slot has confirmed, after he left Conor Bradley out and Jarell Quansah on the bench. Jones has replaced Quansah in Slot’s only change from the Carabao Cup final, having been discussed as an option for the vacant right-back role.

Jarell Quansah deputised in the absence of the injured trio in the Carabao Cup final defeat to Newcastle United on March 16 but Jones was given the nod on Wednesday night as Diogo Jota struck the only goal of the game to extend the Reds' lead.
