President Donald Trump has demanded that Congress ‘IMMEDIATELY’ defund National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service, in a late-night social media rant against the “horrible and completely biased” public service broadcasters.

PBS launched on October 5, 1970, as a free-to-air network and is best known for its educational programs, including Sesame Street , Magic School Bus , Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood , Reading Rainbow, and more. The network also hosts several news programs, including Frontline , PBS NewsHour, and Firing Line.

The broadcasters have faced calls for defunding across several presidential administrations, with Trump’s becoming one of the most combative against public media funding.
