On Thursday at 6:13 p.m. a flood advisory was issued by the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA in effect until 10 p.m. The advisory is for Los Angeles as well as Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.

For the first time in six years, water is gushing through a unique spillway in Lake Berryessa, just north of San Francisco.

The rain will be "generally beneficial" in the Los Angeles area, but there is a small risk of burn scar debris flows.
