County officials said that at least 100,000 visited Branch Brook Park to view the park’s 5,300 cherry blossom trees during the nine-day, 49th annual Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival.

The cherry blossom tradition at Branch Brook Park dates to 1927, when Caroline Bamberger Fuld donated 2,000 trees to Essex County Parks in memory of her husband.
