Maps: Tracking the Los Angeles Wildfires
The Palisades fire is the largest in the area. It started on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and has burned more than 23,000 acres, according to Cal Fire, the state fire agency. In total, four fires had blazed through almost 40,000 acres of Los Angeles County, and as of this weekend had damaged roughly 12,000 structures.
