The Detroit Lions are getting some help ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Aidan Hutchinson has been cleared to return to the football field. Hutchinson suffered a fractured fibula and tibia just six games into the 2024 season,

"I'm fully cleared," Hutchinson said during his media availability. Hutchinson broke his tibia and fibula during the Lions' Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys and ended what was shaping up to be a Defensive Player of the Year campaign.

Detroit Lions star Aidan Hutchinson was on course for history in 2024. In his third NFL season, the former No. 2 overall pick had emerged as Detroit's leader on the defensive line; his 7.5 sacks in five games had him in contention to win Defensive Player of the Year honors, an award no Lions player has ever won.
