Drivers were stuck on Loveland Pass for hours after an avalanche slid a car off the road. On Friday night, an avalanche occurred at Seven Sisters 6, a known avalanche path near the Loveland Ski Area.

A large avalanche on Colorado's Loveland Pass swept a car off the road. There were no reports of any injuries.

First responders on the scene flew a drone in the area and used the license plate of the stuck vehicle to identify its owner. The sheriff’s office confirmed that the driver was not with the car and was safe. No fatalities or injuries occurred as a result of the avalanche.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle flipped but no one was injured in the avalanche, which happened at the Seven Sisters slide area near Loveland Ski Area Friday night.

Both directions of Highway 6 and Loveland Pass are closed due to an avalanche, according to the Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office said one vehicle was trapped in the avalanche and was pushed nearly 50 meters off the road.

On Friday around 7:45 p.m. the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office said they were responding to an avalanche with at least one vehicle trapped.
