An NBA team usually has a player that represents their culture and spirit very well. For the past few years, Jimmy Butler was that guy for the Miami Heat. Since he left, many have thought of only one person who might be able to handle being the new face of the franchise — Bam Adebayo.

Bam Adebayo scored 28 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out five assists to lead the Miami Heat to a 120-94 victory over the host Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Fueled by Bam Adebayo’s best first quarter of the season, the Heat unleashed an early 17-2 run, surged ahead 34-17 and 36-23 after one. The Wizards closed the first half on a 16-8 spurt to close to within 58-47 at the break.
