Israeli jets hit a Hezbollah target close to the Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut late on Monday but did not target the hospital and it was not affected by the strike, the Israeli military said on Tuesday.

The health ministry says at least four people are dead after a strike near southern Beirut's Rafik Hariri University Hospital.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Monday said an underground bunker was found beneath a Beirut hospital following a night of airstrikes that targeted Hezbollah's financial network. During a press briefing, chief military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the bunker contained "at least $500 million in cash and gold."
