WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump will participate in the National Prayer Breakfast at the Capitol on Thursday, joining a more than 70-year-old Washington tradition that brings together a bipartisan group of lawmakers for fellowship. Trump will also speak at a separate prayer breakfast at a Washington hotel sponsored by a private group.

A spokesman for McConnell said the 82-year-old senator is "fine" and using a wheelchair “purely as a precautionary measure."

Former Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell fell twice on Wednesday and was escorted out of the Capitol in a wheelchair as a precautionary measure. The longtime leader, 82, is a survivor of childhood polio and has had multiple health issues in recent years.
